Demco Automation Participates in NAM MFG Day Video

Washington, DC – November 19, 2019 – As a multi-year host of Manufacturing Day, Demco Automation was invited to participate in the Manufacturing Institute’s highlight video of Manufacturing Day 2019. As workforce and education partner the NAM (National Association of Manufacturers), its purpose is to drive programs and research to promote modern manufacturing, and jump-start new approaches to growing manufacturing talent.

Students from the UBCTS (Upper Bucks County Technical School) Mechatronics Program, Southern Lehigh High School, the Bucks County Workforce Development Board, and others toured Demco Automation’s facility to learn more about advanced manufacturing careers in the U.S. On the tour, they saw Engineers, Technicians, Machinists, and other technical professionals in action designing and constructing robotic manufacturing systems.

Demco Automation Receives Gold Award from U.S. Department of Labor for Veteran Employment

Quakertown, PA, (PRWeb) – November 6, 2019 – Demco Automation, a leading supplier in industrial robotics and automation, was presented the HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Award for 2019 from the U.S. Department of Labor. The program is now in its second year and recognizes employer efforts to recruit, employ, and retain military veterans.

The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) is the only federal-level veterans’ employment award that recognizes a job creators’ commitment to hiring American military veterans.

This year, the company is recognized as one of only 28 within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and 427 across the country. “Receiving this award from the U.S. Department of Labor is truly an honor.” says Stephen Maund, President & CEO of Demco Automation. “We have employed U.S. military veterans for over 15 years and continue hold their service in high regard when recruiting new team members. The awards were presented at a ceremony hosted by Secretary of Labor Eugene Scalia at the Department’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.
