Demco Automation Donates $73,000 Advanced Automation System to UBCTS Mechatronics Program.
Quakertown, PA, May 2025 – Demco Automation continues to invest in the future of STEM and CTE (Career & Technical Education) by donating a new automated assembly system designed and built specifically for Upper Bucks County Technical School’s Mechatronics program. The state-of-the-art automation training system valued at $73,000, offers students hands-on access to the same technology used in modern manufacturing.

We hope to inspire the next generation of automation and
manufacturing professionals.”
The equipment will be incorporated into the curriculum and teach students system troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of automated equipment among other critical tasks. The system is designed to enable the development of hands-on labs that will create a real-world experience preparing students for their future career in mechatronics.

Demco Automation presents 2025 Innovation Award to CTE Students

Demco Automation was pleased to present the 2025 “Demco Automation Innovation Award” to two talented students at EASTERN Center for the Arts & Technology in Willow Grove, PA, during their annual Awards Night, which took place at Upper Moreland High School Stadium.
This award is a recognition of Robotics & Automated Technology Program students who have demonstrated exceptional creativity, innovation, meticulous planning, and successful implementation in their lab projects.
This year, the recipients of the award were Nicholas Ley from Upper Moreland High School and Alexander Saavedra from Abington High School. Both students applied their technical abilities throughout their work on various lab projects during the 2024-2025 academic year.

The Innovation Award is funded by Demco Automation through the EASTERN Foundation, who’s purpose is to encourage students in their pursuit of career ambitions that were developed and strengthened by attending EASTERN.

Demco Automation participates in Southern Lehigh Middle School 2025 STEAM Event
Students interact with a prototype and watch a robot demo from Demco AutomationCenter Valley, PA – February 25, 2025 – Demco Automation along with other companies and organizations in the region are participating in the Southern Lehigh Middle School 2025 STEAM Expo providing students, parents, and the general public the opportunity to explore hands-on interactive exhibits and live performances related to STEAM (Science Technology Arts & Math) topics.
Exhibits range from art performances and museum exhibits, to universities and regional companies demonstrating or displaying various technologies to students of all ages. Demco Automaton will be demonstrating an industrial robot automatically assembling and disassembling components and an operating prototype where participants could automatically unwrap candy.
“It is vital for our community to engage students at an early age to understand not only future career options in STEAM, but show the connection between what they are learning in school and how that knowledge is applied in our world.” said Stephen Maund, President & CEO of Demco Automation. “Events like this one are a great way to show how exciting STEAM careers can be,” Maund continued.
Demco Automation has a regional footprint in educational outreach and engineering & technology-based careers. On a regular basis they provide K-12 and post secondary students with plant tours, internships, job shadowing, cooperative education, sponsorships, donations, and other initiatives.

Demco Automation Receives Fourth HIRE Vets Award from U.S. Department of Labor
Quakertown, PA – November 08, 2023 – U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su recognized Demco Automation as one of the 858 recipients of the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during a virtual award ceremony presented by U.S. Department of Labor. Demco Automation earned the gold award after applying earlier this year. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.
This year, the company is recognized as one of only 23 within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. “For the fourth time, we are honored to receive this award from the U.S. Department of Labor.” says Stephen Maund, President & CEO of Demco Automation. “Our team includes military veterans from multiple branches of the Armed Forces.
