Demco Automation participates in Community 2026 STEAM Expo

Center Valley, PA – February 26, 2026 – Demco Automation along with other companies and organizations in the region, is participating in the Southern Lehigh Middle School 2026 STEAM Expo. This event offers students, parents, and the general public the opportunity to explore hands-on interactive exhibits and live performances related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Arts & Math) topics.

Exhibits range from art performances and museum displays to universities and regional companies demonstrating or showcasing various technologies to students of all ages. Demco Automation will demonstrate an industrial robot automatically assembling and disassembling components and an operating prototype where participants can automatically unwrap candy.

“Engaging students at an early age is the key to unlocking the future of STEAM. For the third year running, we are excited to show students the direct link between their schoolwork and the real world,” said Stephen Maund, President & CEO of Demco Automation. “There is no better way to spark a passion for innovation than through an energetic event like this one.”

Demco Automation participates in Career and Technical Education Expo

Quakertown, PA, October 2025 – Demco Automation is participating in the Upper Bucks County Technical School (UBCTS) Career and Technical Education Expo on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m., at UBCTS, 3115 Ridge Rd. in Perkasie.

Middle and high school students and their families are invited to sign up for the expo and to view the full list of exhibitors, click here.

This informational event serves as a starting point for area students to speak directly with career and trade-job exhibitors.

Senator Jarrett Coleman, Representative Shelby Labs, and Representative Craig Staats will be in attendance as proponents of CTE and careers in the Commonwealth.

Executive Director Dr. Michael Herrera will also be in present to discuss UBCTS’s educational programs.

“UBCTS is proud to partner with employers and community leaders to strengthen our region’s workforce,” Herrera said. “This expo highlights the powerful role of career and technical education in preparing students for in-demand careers that support thriving communities”

Exhibitors cover multiple program areas of the Career and Technical Education curriculum including and not limited to Computer Science, Construction, Transportation, Human Services, Agriculture, Advanced Manufacturing, Culinary, Life & Health Services, and Advanced Manufacturing.

Demco Automation Donates $73,000 Advanced Automation System to UBCTS Mechatronics Program.   

Quakertown, PA, May 2025 – Demco Automation continues to invest in the future of STEM and CTE (Career & Technical Education) by donating a new automated assembly system designed and built specifically for Upper Bucks County Technical School’s Mechatronics program. The state-of-the-art automation training system valued at $73,000, offers students hands-on access to the same technology used in modern​ manufacturing.

“We’re honored to support the outstanding work happening at​ UBCTS,” said Stephen Maund, President & CEO of Demco Automation.​ “By donating this system, we’re investing in a skilled workforce and​ empowering students with technology that reflects real industrial​ applications. We hope to inspire the next generation of automation and
manufacturing professionals.”

The equipment will be incorporated into the curriculum and teach students system troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of automated equipment among other critical tasks. The​ system is designed to enable the development of hands-on labs that will create a real-world experience preparing students for their future career in mechatronics.
