30 years ago, our founder David Duemler had a vision to supply modular, flexible, and reconfigurable automation to revolutionize the automation industry, and that hasn’t changed. In the ever-changing world of technology and business, it has been our goal to develop the best automated manufacturing solutions for our partners.
Over the past quarter-century, we’ve grown from upgrading control systems to developing an entire portfolio of patented technology and equipment platforms to make it easier to automate and adapt your applications. Today, we are developing processes that have never been automated before using new technologies, innovative design techniques, and our extensive machine design experience.
As we take a look back to our beginnings, here is a brief timeline of just some of our accomplishments:
1990’s
1990 – Demco Enterprises is officially incorporated
1990 – Worked with Weirton Steel Corporation to make control system upgrades to their first continuous caster line
1997 – Graduated from the Bridgeworks Enterprise Center (Allentown Economic Development Corporation) for Excellence in Entrepreneurship
1998 – Began development of the Demco Wedge™ Modular Assembly Platform
1999 – Expand to a 8,500 s.f. facility in Quakertown, Pennsylvania
2000’s
2000 – Robot Application Award – Adept Technology
2002 – Expand to a 20,000 s.f. facility in Quakertown, Pennsylvania
2002 – Enter the medical device manufacturing market
2003 – Awarded first patent for the Demco Wedge™ Modular Assembly Platform
2003 – Ben Franklin Innovation Award – Incubator Graduate
2004 – Demco Wedge™ becomes a registered trademark
2005-2007 – Additional patents awarded for the Demco Wedge™ Modular Assembly Platform
2010’s
2011 – Expand the Demco Wedge™ Platform by adding the 4-Station Dial Base Machine
2013 – Developed Un-tooled Robot Cell Platform
2013 – Developed Laser Marking Workstation Platform
2014 – Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 5000” list of fastest-growing U.S. companies
2015 – Demco Automation celebrates its 25 year anniversary
2017 – Expand to a 35,000 s.f. facility in Quakertown, Pennsylvania
2017 – Lehigh Valley Business list of fastest-growing companies
2019 – Demco Automation becomes an Epson Robot Authorized System Integrator
2019 – Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 5000” list of fastest-growing U.S. companies for 2nd time
